      Our Mares

Our select band of Budenny mares have been carefully chosen for conformation, athletic potential and intelligence. They represent the height of Russian breed standards and are sired by the Elite-rated International Showjumper, Kaled.

About the Sire of our Mares

            Kaled 10, Imported Budenny Stallion
Kaled is from the S.M. Budennyi stud in Russia and was imported to the United States by EuroHorse in 1995. Rated as an Elite-level stallion, he competed in show-jumping in Russia and the United States. He now resides in Idaho as herd stallion to a band of select Thoroughbred mares.
Due to the role of the Thoroughbred in creating the Budenny breed, three-fourths of TB blood is allowed in the Russian studbooks so that Budenny/TB crosses are registered as full-blooded Budennies. Kaled's pedigree includes four of the six most influential male lines, Braslet, Rubilnik, Kodeks and Saksagan
